As a Summer Intern in our Ashland, VA office, you will directly play an integral role in the success of our organization and the early formation of your professional career. As part of this team, you will work under minimal supervision or in collaboration with our knowledgeable, dynamic staff on a wide variety of projects. We have two levels for interns. Level 1 interns are Freshman and Sophomores. Level 2 interns are Juniors, Seniors and Graduate students. Level 1 interns will primarily be assigned field tasks on our construction materials testing projects. Level 2 interns will do a mix of Level 1 tasks along with office assignments working alongside other professionals.

Requirements

Reliable vehicle for construction sites.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Participation in a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds (soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, etc.).
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform basic mathematical procedures and use measurement tools.
