About The Position

With cloud-based tools, faster GPUs, and the explosion of connected devices, geospatial data has more potential than ever. A skilled geospatial and remote sensing analyst can turn that data into mission critical information. This role offers an opportunity to use geospatial analysis skills to transform law enforcement investigations. The analyst will analyze geospatial data to assess meaning and potential intent, and design, analyze, and develop geospatial solutions using ArcGIS for priorities like infrastructure, topography, human geography, and intelligence. The role involves working with the team to improve communications with visualizations including heat maps, terrain analyses, and formal reports to ensure law enforcement stakeholders have the timely information they need. The analyst will also share expertise through leadership and mentoring as the team works through problems and develops workflows. This is an opportunity to broaden skillsets into areas like advanced analytics while developing products to enhance law enforcement capabilities. The work contributes to turning data into knowledge to protect national security.

Requirements

Experience compiling, manipulating, and analyzing geospatial data
Knowledge of scripting languages to refine GIS data pipelines and processes
Ability to create reports, maps, applications, and visualizations convening the results of spatial analyses
Ability to design, develop, and maintains databases and systems of GIS data
Ability to provide visual interpretations of data, including geographic and pattern of life analysis of data
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in geospatial data analysis, or Master's degree and 5+ years of experience in geospatial data analysis.
