About The Position

Continental Resources’ Summer Internship Program provides meaningful, career-specific experiences and hands-on insight into the oil and gas industry. Interns have the opportunity to be mentored by experienced professionals, network with fellow interns and professionals, and gain exposure to various departments within Continental. Interns also have the opportunity to present their summer projects to experienced professionals and management.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an accredited four (4) year College or University
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or related Earth Sciences major from an accredited College or University
  • Eligible to work permanently in the United States upon graduation.
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication
  • Strong leadership skills and a team player
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Effective time management

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

Responsibilities

  • Generate geologic interpretations of current CLR development assets and/or exploration prospects.
  • Generate sequence stratigraphic models, various subsurface and petrophysical maps, production analysis, geosteering interpretations and mud log analysis.
  • Receive training on the practical application of geological concepts to develop solutions for project assignments associated with the development and/or operation of CLR’s energy assets.
  • Make recommendations to Asset Team and Management for expenditures and activities associated with project activities.
  • Observe and provide assistance for the execution of recommended expenditures and activities and report results of same.
  • Other duties as assigned.
