Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • 7+ years experience in CAD-based data processing.
  • Experience with TBC, Leica Infinity, and AutoCAD for data validation, surface models, corridors, plan/profile generation.
  • Experience with 3D point cloud processing.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills and proven ability to complete project deliverables on time and budget.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering teams.
  • All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and a resident to be considered for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience processing UAV (Drone), LiDAR or Terrestrial Laser Scanner experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage survey data from GNSS, total stations, UAVs, and terrestrial scanners to produce accurate engineering deliverables.
  • Oversee quality on CAD deliverables to maintain consistency, precision, and readiness for construction or regulatory use.
  • Draft topographic surveys, as-built drawings, survey reports, alignment profiles, and surface models using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with project and industry standards.
  • Support BIM, 3D modeling and digital twin development using point cloud data, LiDAR, and BIM compatible workflows to enhance visualization, life cycle planning, and design integration.
  • Contribute to internal QA/QC protocols, helping refine standards for data accuracy, drawing consistency, and submission readiness.
  • Provide technical support to field crews and contribute to continuous improvement of field-to-office workflows.
  • Act as a technical lead on assigned tasks, coordinating survey deliverables, supporting design, and contributing to overall project planning alongside.
  • Participate in cross-training with civil and rail teams to ensure seamless integration of survey data into engineering design workflows, and construction documentation.
