About The Position

Kleinfelder's Environmental team is looking for an Entry-level Geologist in Midland, Texas. This position involves the collection of environmental data from sites in various stages of the assessment and remediation process. Under direct supervision, this person will be responsible for completing well-defined, assigned field and office tasks. This includes groundwater sampling, collection of soil samples, installation of monitoring wells, identification and evaluation of sensitive receptors, analyzing and interpreting analytical data, authoring technical reports, and progressing sites towards regulatory closure. The role also involves learning and honing the fundamentals of Data Collection, Data validity and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and Observation and documentation in support of scientific investigations and engineered solutions. The position requires working within the context of local, state, federal regulations, client requirements, and as a part of a project team under the direction of a project manager with other staff professionals.

Requirements

0-2 years' experience
Strong, technical or educational background in geology or engineering
Ability to provide technical support on projects
Strong communication skills
Good writing skills
B.S. degree in geology, engineering or the sciences
