This role involves evaluating and interpreting subsurface field and sampling data, including soil and groundwater, to understand environmental and geologic site conditions. The Geologist will generate subsurface maps and cross-sections, and collaborate with engineering and environmental scientist staff on various projects. Key responsibilities include overseeing field monitoring and testing of soils, conducting boring investigations, and classifying soil types. The role also requires interpreting soil, bedrock, and groundwater elevation and quality data, and preparing written plans and reports for site investigations, assessments, and remediation activities. Projects may encompass construction focusing on earthwork and structural foundations, well design and sampling, environmental assessments (Phase I/II), and seismic risk assessments.
