Interprets, integrates, and evaluates subsurface geologic data to develop economic oil and gas investment opportunities for the company. This role involves constructing integrated maps, cross sections, and other geologic displays defining subsurface structure, reservoir geometries, net sand and pay, hydrocarbon pore volume, and other economically significant interpretations. The Geologist will also obtain, manipulate, and interpret computer databases and mapping programs, and analyze well logs, petrophysical data, and seismic data to define drilling, recompletion, and workover economic objectives. Additionally, the position requires on-site geologic evaluations, coordination with service vendors, assessment of external proposals, and presentation of geologic work to secure capital. Maintaining technical knowledge, confidentiality, and contributing to team efforts are also key aspects of this role.
