The Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician administers and maintains the County’s Geographic Information System, including GIS databases, parcel data, mapping layers, and related applications. This position develops and analyzes geographic data, creates maps and other GIS products, and provides technical support and training to County departments and other users. This position also supports parcel mapping, 911 addressing, GIS data requests and other projects involving geographic and property information. The incumbent is responsible for the quality and timeliness of assigned work. Work is performed independently under the general supervision of the Assistant Highway Engineer.
