The Environmental Services Department, Administrative Services Division, Information Technology -Geographic Information Systems (IT-GIS) group is seeking one undergraduate or graduate student intern to support a variety of GIS-related projects and services. The intern will assist with map production, geospatial analysis, record drawing research, data entry, and GIS data maintenance. The intern may also support field work at the San José-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility and within the Water Resources Division. Field activities may include collecting utility and asset data, supporting utility locating efforts, and using high-precision GNSS, electro-magnetic induction, and ground-penetrating radar equipment. This internship is a good opportunity for a student interested in gaining hands-on experience with municipal GIS, utility infrastructure, field data collection, and geospatial data management.
