Genetic Counselor II possesses the technical knowledge and clinical skills necessary to manage/coordinate clinical risk assessment/genetic evaluations in a manner consistent with all requirements of the health care delivery system-medical, administrative, ethical, legal and regulatory. The genetic counselor works cooperatively with genetic counselors, medical director(s), genetic assistant(s), as well as with specialty teams within the areas of oncology, cardiology and/or perinatology/obstetrics/gynecology. The genetic counselor is also responsible for participating in conferences, research activities and educational events as a multidisciplinary team member, as applicable.
