Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum of 3 years of experience in oncology, specifically working with cancer patients
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- High degree of independence, flexibility, initiative and commitment
- Demonstrated awareness and value of cultural competence
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point software programs
- Knowledge of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Accreditation Standards
Responsibilities
- Provides assistance to genetic counselors and staff to support genetic counseling within the clinic.
- Performs duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.
