Genetic Characterization Scientist- Cell Line Development
About The Position
This is a routine testing role that is highly collaborative, requiring excellent communication skills and a desire to be part of a team. The position supports the genetic characterization of cell lines expressing therapeutic proteins. The role is responsible for molecular biology activities that demonstrate genetic and epigenetic foundations of cellular phenotypes, such as nucleic acid extractions, ddPCR, RT-PCR, PCR, Next Generation Sequencing library preparation, Northern blotting, Southern blotting, and molecular cloning. Additional responsibilities include mammalian cell culture, experimental design, data analysis, troubleshooting, participation in project teams and maintaining detailed records.
Requirements
- Minimum of a PhD in Biotechnology or Cell Biology, other scientific related fields can be considered.
- Experience with mammalian cell culture, aseptic technique, nucleic acid extraction, Next Generation Sequencing library preparation, ddPCR and PCR are required.
- Authorization for employment in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Northern & Southern Blotting preferred, not required.
