In order to maintain the 5-star standard we’re known for; we need YOU - a highly-skilled and experienced Generator Technician - to join our team. As a strong Commissioning Electrician or Instrumentation technician, you hold the power to troubleshoot and tackle onsite activities like calibrations and verifications. We're counting on your expertise to perform electrical and functional testing, start-up, and troubleshooting of various equipment, including switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, and more. If you're assigned to work on a Versys project, you'll join our team of the most sought-after commissioning specialists. Requirements

  • Usually 2-5+ years in commercial or industrial generator repair (e.g., CAT, Kohler, Cummins).
  • Strong understanding of diesel/natural gas engines, electrical power generation, wiring schematics, and controllers.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment like multimeters and megohmmeters.
  • Ability to work in harsh environments, lift heavy parts, and work in awkward positions
  • An unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • A sharp eye for detail
  • A valid driver's license
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • A willingness to travel

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical training is highly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in First Aid/CPR, H2S Awareness, Defensive Driving, OSHA 10, Fall Protection, and Aerial Lift / Elevated Work Platform
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering, design, and construction processes are desirable

Responsibilities

  • Performing oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and mechanical inspections on industrial engines.
  • Diagnosing engine mechanical failures, fuel systems, AC/DC circuitry, and control panels.
  • Running load-bank tests, testing Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), and starting up new units to ensure reliability.
  • Adhering to safety regulations (OSHA), particularly in hazardous or remote oilfield locations.
  • Providing 24/7 on-call support for emergency repairs to prevent downtime.
