About The Position

NC Power Systems is seeking a Power Generation Technician at its Tukwila, Washington branch. NC Power Systems is the Pacific Northwest’s Caterpillar dealer, providing prime and standby electric power, marine, oil and gas, and industrial/OEM installations across central and western Washington.

This technician diagnoses and performs repairs and installations on EPG and industrial engines, including OEM and EPG preparations in the shop. The role is safety sensitive because it involves operating machinery and tools, and pre-employment drug testing is part of the job offer process.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of generator experience or Caterpillar industrial engine experience.
• Must possess personal tools.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in Diesel Technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and install industrial engines, including OEM and EPG engines.
• Troubleshoot and inspect power generators and make necessary repairs.
• Perform tear-downs and cleanings.
• Order parts using Caterpillar’s parts ordering system (SIS).
• Communicate with engineering, end users, customers, and other team members.
• Complete administrative requirements, including service reports.
