About The Position

Enchanted Rock is a leader and innovator of Electrical Resiliency-As-A-Service, providing advanced dual-purpose microgrids that protect companies, critical infrastructure, and communities from unexpected power outages. Their microgrids utilize natural gas and renewable natural gas (RNG) to achieve significantly lower to zero carbon emissions compared to traditional diesel backup generators. The company's GraniteEcosystem™ software system offers 24/7/365 monitoring, optimization, and forecasts for reliable power. The Generator Technician role involves assuming responsibilities for multiple Microgrid generators, performing maintenance on power generation equipment, and ensuring generators operate for customer requirements. Electrical experience is a plus. This remote position in the Dallas/Fort-Worth area reports to the Area Manager.

Requirements

  • At least 3 Years Mechanical and/or Electrical experience
  • Preferred College or Equivalent Training (i.e. Military)
  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport materials, equipment, or personnel to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Successfully pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check to ensure compliance with company standards and safe driving practices.
  • Attention to Detail- Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail.
  • Computer skills- Uses computers, software applications, databases and automated systems to accomplish work.
  • Flexibility-Technicians have a rotating on call schedule. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for multiple hours a day.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder and lift 50 lbs safely.
  • Integrity- Work efficiently and effectively when with or without supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Volvo Penta Diesel Engine experience
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled repairs of Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), Power Solutions International (21.9 L) and Marathon generator ends, as well as various voltage control and synchronizing equipment.
  • Be proficient at learning and utilizing manufacturer specific software to troubleshoot and diagnose engine and control system problems.
  • Facilitate technical support and liaison with equipment manufacturers.
  • Perform scheduled, preventive, or predictive generator maintenance tasks.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair tasks.
  • Perform periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs.
  • Work in potentially confined areas of high heat and humidity, and cold.
  • Follow company process and procedures for verbal/written communications.
  • Utilize all current technology for communication, documentation, and research.
  • Ensure Safe Operation of electrical equipment by enforcing company and industry standards.
  • Safely prepare, operate, and maintain motor vehicles for the purpose of conducting company business.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added at the direction of Company’s management.
