National Power is seeking a Generator Service Technician in Ball Ground, GA. This role, reporting to the Telecom Service Manager, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of generator sets and other electrical equipment. The technician will perform various levels of maintenance and repair on generators and parallel systems (5-5000kw), troubleshoot and repair Automatic Transfer Switches, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot AC and DC circuits, replace components, perform warranty work, and conduct start-up/commissioning on new systems. The role also involves diesel or gaseous engine troubleshooting and repair, including ignition components, injection systems, and valve adjustments. Load bank testing on generators is required to ensure proper operating conditions and code compliance. The technician will also assist other technicians on larger jobs or complex troubleshooting. This is a remote position, requiring the employee to work from home and manage company property and vehicle maintenance. Travel, including overnight stays, is required, with company coverage for hotels and meal allowance. Training will be provided, potentially including courses in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
