About The Position

Adams, Inc. is offering a unique hybrid opportunity for candidates who have both the desire to become a licensed Journeyman Electrician and are also open to learning and becoming certified as a Generator Technician. The Generator Technician Apprentice is a hybrid position designed to develop the skills required to become both a highly qualified Generator Technician and a licensed Journeyman Electrician. This role combines hands-on generator installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair with residential electrical apprenticeship training under the supervision of licensed electricians and experienced generator technicians. This position provides a clear career pathway toward becoming a licensed Journeyman Electrician while building specialized expertise in generator systems and backup power solutions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license.
Mechanical aptitude, interest in electrical systems and generators, ability to use tools safely, communication skills, and desire to pursue Journeyman Electrician licensure.

Responsibilities

Follow safety policies, codes, manufacturer specifications, maintain records and report concerns.
Work with electricians and generator technicians, attend training, communicate professionally.
Support project teams and customer relationships.
Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and commitment to growth.
Assist with generator installations, residential electrical work, maintenance, troubleshooting, schematics, and tool usage.
Maintain tools, vehicles, equipment, and worksites responsibly.
