About The Position

This role may train initially on 1st shift but once trained the primary shift will be 2nd shift. Assemble, bend, form, mold, braze, tape, and stack generator parts, assemblies and components performing all operations on both Services and New Production Work. Perform lower rated work as required. 4 vacancies are available for 2nd shift.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED)
  • Willing and able to work any shift and overtime including weekends.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 35 lbs and push and pull at least 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time up to 95% of the shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must pass background and drug screens

Nice To Haves

  • Basic manufacturing/mechanical experience using electrical and pneumatic air hand tools.
  • General understanding of basic mechanical and electrical theories.
  • Proven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify improvement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Secure job assignments and partial instructions for diverse work using complicated facilities and diverse materials.
  • Works from drawings, parts lists, written and verbal instructions, accepted shop practices, etc.
  • Obtain material and prepare work area manually, using pendant controlled cranes or with assistance of overhead cranes.
  • Set up and adjust machines.
  • Straighten materials as required.
  • Check parts for conformance to drawings, process sheets, quality instructions, etc. and adjust or rework as required.
  • Prepare frames and stacking pit for stacking operations.
  • Locate platforms, scaffolds, stairs, etc.
  • Stack, assemble, and press complete, maintaining proper alignment.
  • Insert temperature detecting sensing devices per instructions.
  • Set up and run through the bake cycle.
  • Prepare frames for winding by flanging, removing, and replacing key bar nuts as required, glass tie roving key bar nuts, installing drums and spacers, red eye cores, etc.
  • Machine parts as required.
  • Operate machine and facilities by manipulating valves, levers, switches, pushbuttons, etc.
  • Certify own work, fill out Q.C. forms or have inspected as required.
  • Dispose of workpieces and stow away tools and facilities.
