Generator Service Technician & Installer

About The Position
Responsible for the installation, diagnoses and service of generators. This role involves filling out work orders, submitting warranty claims, and communicating with technical support regarding issues. The technician will also inform customers about work performed, identify any problems, submit quotes, and process payments.
Requirements
- Familiar with electrical circuitry and control wiring
- Understand all state and national codes
- Good computer skills
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, make decisions and problem solve

- Excellent customer service skills
- A desire to learn new technologies and systems and a willingness to participate in continuing education
- Maintain and promote a safe working environment
- Current technical certification from major generator manufactures
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift certification
Responsibilities
- Service and install auto standby residential & light commercial generators
- Perform certified start-ups and registration of Generac & Kohler generators
- Submit warranty paperwork
- Maintain vehicle warehouse inventory and keep organized
- Rotating on call schedule for weekends, evenings and holidays
- Available during high demand times and able to work additional hours
- Miscellaneous duties as required
