About The Position

Rack Electric is expanding its generator service team and seeking a Generator Maintenance & Controls Specialist. This role involves executing bi-annual maintenance for residential and commercial customers, installing and servicing generator monitoring systems, diagnosing and resolving operational issues on generators and related components, and performing routine maintenance and performance checks. The specialist will utilize the company's CRM for work order management and a paperless workflow, and participate in an emergency on-call rotation.

Requirements

Clean-cut, professional presence; polite, well-spoken, and detail oriented.
Strong mechanical foundation and proven technical aptitude.
Own basic electrical/plumbing tools and testing equipment.
Methodical, self-motivated, and procedure-driven.
Physically able to lift up to 70 lbs on rare occasions and work in positions requiring bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling.
Comfortable working in extreme heat, wind, and rain.
Clean Driver’s License (license will be run prior to interview)
Drug Free (We are a Drug Free company)

Nice To Haves

Electrical background is a plus; knowledge of ATS, load shedding, and surge protection is a great advantage.
Eager to learn ATS logic, load shedding strategies, and surge protection best practices.

Responsibilities

Execute bi-annual maintenance for residential and commercial customers on a planned route.
Install and service generator monitoring systems.
Diagnose and resolve operational issues on generators and related components.
Deliver routine maintenance and performance checks.
Use our CRM to manage work orders, documentation, and a paperless workflow.
Participate in a one-week-at-a-time emergency on-call rotation.
