Requirements

  • Graduate of the US Army Power Generation Equipment Repairer (MOS 52D) Course or a graduate of a technical school or manufacturer's course of instruction on diesel power generation equipment.
  • Work experience in troubleshooting, fault isolation, disassembly, repair, assembly, and checkout of Lechmotoren power generation equipment.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the repair and refurbishment of generators.
  • Working knowledge of the 15kw/400hz, 30kw/400hz and 150kw/400hz diesel generators.
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance (repair) of 150KW and 30KW Frequency Converters.
  • Experience in the implementation / execution of standard US Army materiel maintenance management concepts and practices.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

  • Demonstrated experience with Raytheon Quality Control procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience of the Patriot refurbishment, modification, and system integration and check out (SICO) process.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive planning skills.
  • Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs.
  • Experience living and working in an overseas location.

Responsibilities

  • Testing, proper operation and maintenance (to include repair) of the power generation and power frequency converter equipment in support of the PATRIOT MEIs.
  • Support for the testing, operation and maintenance (including repair) of all power generation and power conversion equipment (i.e. tactical site Frequency Converters).
  • Transfer functional details and knowledge associated with each task performed to UAE military technicians via on-the-job-training principles and concepts.
  • Structure support to facilitate UAE military technicians in becoming self-sufficient in Generator / Frequency Converter support activities.
  • Perform all Generator / Frequency Converter Technician actions in support of the UAE in accordance with standard US Army maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures stipulated within AR 750-1.
  • Interface with manufacturers of the power generation and power conversion equipment on an as required basis.
