About The Position

Prime Power Services is offering a two-year Generator Field Service Technician Apprenticeship Program, designed as a gateway to a high-demand career in emergency power supply systems (EPSS). This program is for individuals who are mechanically inclined and eager to learn new skills. Participants will be employed full-time, earn a living wage, and acquire skills in the EPSS industry. Training will be provided by EGSA-certified trainers and experts at Prime Power’s training campus in Mableton, GA. The program includes an initial 90-day period in Atlanta, with opportunities to continue in Georgia or relocate to regions in Tampa (FL), the Carolinas, or the National Capital Region in Virginia. Upon completion, participants will have earned certifications and hands-on experience for a well-paid career.

Mechanical Aptitude helpful

Willingness to Learn
Must hold a valid driver’s license and have a driving record showing zero felony convictions and less than three (3) moving violations within the previous three years.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must pass a criminal background check and mandatory drug screening.

Responsibilities

Acquire skills in the EPSS industry.
Work on multiple generator types.
Participate in hands-on labs including load banking, transfer switches, and electrical schematics.
Service generators.
Work with the latest generator systems and equipment.
