About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Generative AI Learning Solutions Architect to support our Global Government customers. This role involves helping government customers leverage generative AI in their missions, learning from diverse enterprise use cases of AWS ML and generative AI, and being a key part of Amazon's long-standing investment in Machine Learning and AI technology. AWS is helping the federal government build and use AI on the AWS Cloud, applying AI to large volumes of data and a wide spectrum of problems. Generative AI is rapidly growing in importance, with applications ranging from simple back-office tasks to complex mission-changing agentic workflows. The cloud is ideal for deploying AI models due to the scale required for development, and AWS is a leader in this space. The ideal candidate is passionate and deeply excited about generative AI and its potential to make a significant difference in government missions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
  • US government security clearance of top secret or above, or experience in a professional field or military
  • Deep technical experience working with technologies related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, or generative AI.
  • Great communication skills and being very technical, with the ability to impress AWS customers at any level, from executive to developer.

Nice To Haves

  • A strong statistics, mathematics, computer science, or technology background is preferred.
  • Experience helping customers architect enterprise grade AI solutions.
  • Familiarity with the ecosystem of software vendors in the AI space.
  • Ability to operate in Python data science environments.
  • Ability to leverage knowledge to help AWS customers in their software selection process.
  • Previous experience with AWS is desired but not required, provided you have experience building large scale solutions.
  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
  • Experience working with end user or developer communities
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems, or experience in developing and deploying LLMs in production on GPUs, Neuron, TPU or other AI acceleration hardware
  • Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage

Responsibilities

  • Design generative AI solutions that leverage AWS services to automate solutions and drive down costs for customers.
  • Work closely with other Specialist SAs to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption of AWS for AI platforms.
  • Provide guidance to other SAs in the field on their customer engagements.
  • Develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage AI on AWS.
  • Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate AWS AI solutions into customer architectures.
  • Interact directly with senior engineers at customers, partners, and AWS service teams, influencing their roadmaps and driving innovation.
