About The Position

Innodata is seeking contributors for its Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Demand program, supporting leading technology companies in developing generative AI and large language models. This is a part-time, remote, flexible, project-specific opportunity for people interested in language, logic, and AI development. Contributors help improve AI systems by performing a range of data, evaluation, and content-generation tasks according to project guidelines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities specialization.
Professional or expert-level English proficiency (C1/C2).

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree, such as a Master’s or PhD.

Responsibilities

Assess AI model or algorithm performance using evaluative questions.
Label elements of content and assign predefined categories or labels.
Evaluate content quality and appropriateness.
Generate labels to improve understanding of concepts and trends.
Create additional training data by transforming source data, such as paraphrasing or summarizing text, modifying images, or altering audio and video signals.
Review data and determine whether product features work as intended according to project guidelines.
Label model outputs to identify whether they match specified content categories.
Order or rank items according to preferences or criteria.
Create prompts or questions for language models or other AI systems.
Evaluate content relevance using a specified relevance scale.
Generate responses to prompts or questions using a language model or other AI system.
Rewrite text while preserving its meaning and following clarity, style, and guideline requirements.
Summarize longer text or data.
Transcribe spoken language or audio into written text.
Translate text or spoken language between languages.
Gather and compile data for training, evaluating, or fine-tuning AI models, including text, images, video, and audio.
