About The Position

Dominion Energy is seeking an experienced Generation Project Manager to join their Nuclear Project Team. This role will focus on the planning and execution of fleet-level strategic nuclear projects, involving early-phase scope development, cost estimating, scheduling, risk management, regulatory review, contract negotiation, data analysis, stakeholder reporting, vendor management, and the implementation of project management tools. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring project processes, policies, and best practices are followed to improve fleetwide performance and consistency. This role requires establishing and nurturing productive relationships with various internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, licensing, operations, procurement, and external vendors.

Requirements

  • 7 or more years of industry experience in construction, engineering, finance, and/or management
  • A minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in project management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management, heavy industrial, relevant technologies, and leadership in the assigned project areas
  • Strong team building skills, demonstrated skill and ability in effectively leading teams to achieve project goals and milestones
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities
  • Ability to develop, manage and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules
  • Ability to coordinate the resolution of technical problems and implement changes
  • Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the nuclear power industry
  • Project Management (PMP) and/or Certified Associate in Project Management certification preferred
  • In lieu of the preferred Bachelor's degree, a candidate may substitute a related Associate's degree and nine (9) or more years of work experience related to the fields of construction, engineering, business management, or project management.
