About The Position

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Generation and Energy Management Project Manager to join our Generation & Energy Management Team in St. Catharines, Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity to manage multidisciplinary projects focused on power and thermal generation solutions—including cogeneration, combined-cycle systems, boilers, chillers, renewable energy, district energy, and electric/gas interconnection projects—while helping clients identify practical strategies that support sustainable energy solutions and optimize facility performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management, or related field required
  • Minimum of 9 years of industry experience, including 6 years of project management experience required
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and interpret client contract requirements
  • Demonstrated experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents required
  • Experience managing project accounting processes—including forecasting, budgeting, revenue, and cash flow—required
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to solve problems independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills with the ability to adapt style for various audiences
  • Ability to travel as needed required

Nice To Haves

  • familiarity with MS Project, Primavera P6, or Deltek Vision preferred
  • Consulting industry experience highly preferred
  • PMP certification, P. Eng (Professional Engineer) license, or equivalent professional license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead proposal development and create clear scopes, schedules, and budgets in coordination with technical teams
  • Serve as the primary client partner, addressing needs proactively and ensuring strong communication throughout each project
  • Develop project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and direct task coordination across multidisciplinary project teams
  • Manage project schedules, deliverables, approvals, and quality controls to keep work on track and aligned with contract requirements
  • Oversee project financials—including budgets, forecasts, revenue, and cash flow—maintaining strong financial performance
  • Direct contract administration, subcontractor coordination, and critical project documentation
  • Lead regular project meetings and provide timely progress updates to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Support marketing efforts, help identify new opportunities, and contribute to the growth of CHA’s Generation & Energy Management portfolio
