Generalist Psychologist

UHSSt. Louis, MO
Hybrid

About The Position

St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI) is seeking Licensed Psychologists who are Generalists to join our General Mental Health Program. We are committed to growth and are always looking to hire exceptional talent to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. In-person, Remote, and Hybrid Opportunities are available. Local Candidates in MO are preferred, but not required. Eligible candidates located outside of the St. Louis region may be interested in joining our team through providing telehealth services. Remote providers must also be professionally licensed in the state they are residing in. Our clinicians enjoy the aspects of being an independent provider that are appealing, while having the administrative and operational support to manage everything else that you need as a provider. Our dedicated and multidisciplinary team of 70+ colleagues are willing to share their clinical expertise for case consultation, continuing education, and program development. SLBMI prides itself on being a team-oriented environment that thrives on collaboration and providing compassionate behavioral healthcare! The General Mental Health Program clinicians work with patients who do not meet the severity need of treatment presented within our other specialty programs. It would be common for clinicians to refer patients to specialty programs, should the need arise. Conversely, clinicians who work within our specialty programs also would refer patients with more general needs to the General Mental Health Program. You would therefore be providing general psychotherapy for the treatment of a wide variety of conditions and issues. Common presenting concerns include stress management, depression, adjustment disorders, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. The majority of your caseload would be traditional individual outpatient therapy, with opportunity to run outpatient groups. Applicants who have additional subspecialty interests and training are encouraged; however, that is not required within the General Mental Health Program. Caseloads can be tailored according to your expertise and competencies.

Requirements

  • Completed a Master’s or doctoral degree in a clinical mental health field (e.g. MSW, Professional Counselor, Ph.D).
  • Fully licensed by the State of Missouri to practice independently.

  • Willing to undergo a required 90-day wait period for insurance credentialing to be completed prior to starting.
