This role cuts, sands, inspects, and assembles custom cabinet components. The General Worker will be responsible for reading and examining tickets, drawings, samples, or written specifications to ascertain size and type of components. They will move processed components between operations, confirm job completion, measure sizes against job tickets, and feed or tail machines. A key part of the role involves performing initial inspections of products, inspecting materials for damage or conformity to specifications, and correcting flaws. The General Worker will also document remakes and rejects, verify product counts, and attach work tickets. They will pick up and place materials on conveyors, ensuring proper alignment for flow. Maintaining production demands, schedules, and efficiency are crucial, as is being familiar with materials, dimensions, and utilizing Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). The role requires the ability to follow simple instructions, keep the work area clean and organized, and strictly adhere to safe work practices, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as a respirator. The General Worker must qualify for safe respirator use per program guidelines and perform other related duties as required.
