The core hours are 7 am - 3 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do: The General Welder will operate various types of welding equipment in both Transformer assembly lines for general production work. This may include low voltage welding, welding on stainless and mild steel covers, welding radiators onto the tanks, and using the robotic welder. In this function, you will: • Use weld fabrication equipment including plasma arc torch, tig-welder, mig-welders, robotic mig welder, grinders, drills, and any other special tooling that may be required. • Work from basic prints, computer readouts, written and verbal instructions and material lists using judgment when complete prints are not available. • Operate various types of material handling equipment including bridge cranes, jib cranes, and manually operated hand trucks when necessary. • Place both weld-on and bolt-on covers to units - giving them a pressure test using air and soap. • Perform Low voltage aluminum and copper welding and mild and stainless-steel cover welding • Work in Transformer assembly positions as needed
