About The Position

Responsible for the expedient and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the warehouse facility. General warehouse duties take place within the assigned area of warehouse operations, but the position supports all areas of the warehouse as needed. The role involves moving, checking, sorting, replenishing, selecting, and loading merchandise while meeting safety, productivity, and quality standards.

Requirements

Communication skills sufficient to communicate with coworkers, understand and provide directions, respond to management inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
Basic knowledge of simple math concepts.
Ability to use a Radio Frequency Unit.
Ability to learn the basic use and operation of motorized merchandise movement equipment.
Ability to maintain annual certification requirements.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience working in an automated distribution center preferred.
Experience with warehouse management system applications preferred.

Responsibilities

Move incoming or outgoing merchandise throughout the distribution center by hand, hand truck, or forklift equipment.
Check, verify, and audit merchandise to ensure orders were received correctly and items are not damaged or defective; enter data into a remote data terminal.
Identify, separate, label, and palletize merchandise onto flats.
Replenish pick areas based on replenishment reports and requests for merchandise.
Fill merchandise orders for stores by selecting and moving merchandise from pick slots to conveyors.
Load outgoing merchandise from conveyors and/or four-wheel trucks into trailers.
Report damages and vendor compliance issues to a supervisor.
Partner with a supervisor to resolve problems or discrepancies.
Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
