About The Position

ReaderLink is holding open interviews for General Warehouse Workers and Powered Equipment Operators. This role involves various warehouse duties including following instructions, sorting product, pulling and packing orders, and performing inventory maintenance. Equipment operators will also be responsible for unloading and stacking material using powered equipment. The position requires regular, reliable attendance and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment within a distribution setting. Specific vision abilities and language/math/reasoning skills are also necessary.

Requirements

  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences well both written and verbally, in English.
  • Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers.
  • Ability to add and subtract basic math.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Prior experience operating powered equipment (forklift) in a warehouse environment (for Equipment Operators).

Responsibilities

  • Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Read and match numbers.
  • Perform repetitive work that includes standing, walking and bending for long periods of time.
  • Correctly sort product using eye/hand coordination.
  • Pull product orders and pack outbound orders.
  • Accurately count items, boxes, pallets, etc.
  • Identify problems and recognize potential problems.
  • Work in all departments.
  • Observe and practice all matters of safety.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Unload and stack material by using powered equipment (for equipment operators).
  • Loads unloads product onto and off of pallets or lifting devices.
  • Perform inventory maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct quality control processes.
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
