About The Position

ReaderLink is seeking General Warehouse Workers and Powered Equipment Operators for their facility. This role involves various warehouse duties including order pulling, packing, inventory maintenance, and quality control. Equipment operators will also be responsible for unloading and stacking materials using powered equipment. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Requirements

Ability to print and speak simple sentences well both written and verbally, in English.
Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers.
Ability to add and subtract basic math.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be able to stand up to 8-12 hours in a day.
Must be able to walk up to 6-10 hours.
Will continuously reach up and out.
Will occasionally climb stairs.
Will occasionally push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally push/pull up to 50 pounds.
Will frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Will occasionally have repetitive foot movement.
Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping, and/or fine hand manipulation.
Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to work at heights (equipment operators).
Wear workplace appropriate attire including closed-toe shoes.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Prior experience operating powered equipment (forklift) in a warehouse environment (for Equipment Operators).

Responsibilities

Follow oral and written instructions.
Read and match numbers.
Perform repetitive work that includes standing, walking and bending for long periods of time.
Correctly sort product using eye/hand coordination.
Pull product orders and pack outbound orders.
Accurately count items, boxes, pallets, etc.
Identify problems and recognize potential problems.
Work in all departments.
Observe and practice all matters of safety.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Unload and stack material by using powered equipment (for Equipment Operators).
Loads unloads product onto and off of pallets or lifting devices.
Perform inventory maintenance tasks.
Conduct quality control processes.
Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
