About The Position

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the General Warehouse Worker is responsible for picking and packing parts, ensuring neat and orderly storage of materials/parts, and accurately maintaining inventory levels. This role involves transporting materials, loading and unloading trucks, reading reports to determine material needs, and maintaining inventory records on a computer system. The worker will also operate a forklift for heavier materials and perform weekly cycle counts. Adherence to all cleanup and housekeeping procedures is expected.

Requirements

High school degree preferred
Experience working in a warehouse environment preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, purchase orders, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write reports, procedure manuals, and correspondence
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other employees
Frequently required to stand, walk, crouch and talk or hear
Occasionally required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus

Nice To Haves

Experience operating forklifts and other equipment is a plus
Bilingual English/Spanish helpful, but not required

Responsibilities

Picking and packing parts
Ensuring neat and orderly storage of materials/parts
Accurately maintaining inventory levels
Transporting materials and items using a forklift
Loading and unloading material/parts from trucks
Reading reports, routings, and blueprints to determine material needed, location, and destination
Notifying supervisor of low inventory supply
Maintaining inventory records on computer system
Operating forklift to lift heavier material and equipment
Maintaining inventory of material, equipment and supplies via cycle counts weekly
Releasing inventory to production as needed
Following all clean up and housekeeping procedures
