About The Position

This is a full-time General Warehouse Worker position in the Shipping Department, paying $16.00 per hour. The role involves packing and shipping e-commerce orders accurately and productively according to specifications and standard procedures. Regular, reliable attendance is required as the work cannot be performed remotely. The job also includes receiving constructive performance feedback.

Requirements

Must be able to work Monday thru Friday 4:15pm-1:00am with occasional mandatory Overtime 4:15pm-3:00am some Saturdays
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must be able to interact with voice picking system
Ability to print and speak simple sentences well both written and verbally, in English
Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers
Ability to add and subtract basic math
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Nice To Haves

1-3 months of order pulling experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and distribution experience may be substituted

Responsibilities

Create a package for each order
Use the computer to log onto Order Management System and proper process by order type
Scan the books/items and produce a shipping label
Pack the order in the appropriate package
Scan shipping label to close the order
Push all packages on the conveyor line
Follow safety rules for personal safety and the safety of others; including maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Comprehend verbal directions and communicate with team members in a team environment
Identify by inspecting books for damaged product and place in designated area
Other duties may be assigned, directed or requested
