The Distribution Team Lead is responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of the distribution center personnel. The Lead is accountable for the safe operation of the distribution center personnel and may also be required to perform any of their duties in addition to his or her own duties. This role requires regular, reliable attendance as work cannot be performed remotely. The Team Lead directs workers to ensure accuracy, productivity, and teamwork, coordinates daily work flow, and resolves issues through the appropriate chain of command. They are able to and willing to work or assist in all areas of operation. The role involves examining and comparing packing lists to ensure correct items are picked and packed, following safety rules, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and leading by example. The Team Lead ensures efficient shipping, receiving, storage, distribution, and production. They receive deliveries, check for shortages and damage, store and reorganize stock, and operate forklifts and material handling equipment. The position also involves leading and participating in routine work assigned to temporary workers, keeping accurate records, preparing reports, and loading/unloading materials. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships is also a key aspect of this role.
