About The Position
Family Dollar is hiring a General Warehouse Associate to work in its fast-paced distribution center in Morehead, Kentucky. The role involves handling freight and inventory, processing and shipping merchandise accurately, unloading trailers, assisting with receiving, and performing other general warehouse duties as needed. Current schedules include a weekday first shift and a Monday-through-Thursday third shift.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of previous warehouse experience.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds frequently.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and load boxes for 8 or more hours.
- Ability to work as a team player.
Responsibilities
- Handle freight and inventory throughout the warehouse safely, quickly, and efficiently.
- Accurately process, pack, load, and ship freight.
- Check merchandise to ensure shipments are accurate and goods are not damaged.
- Unload trailers by hand and with pallet jacks and other equipment as needed.
- Assist with receiving duties.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as needed.
