About The Position

This role is for a Production Associate who will be trained on 1st shift and will be paid $27.56/hour. The position requires flexibility to work all shifts and potentially outside of the assigned area due to fluctuating workloads. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver results, serve others with respect, operate with simplicity and transparency, drive change, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and learn and share new technology. All activities must be performed with reliability, integrity, compliance, and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be willing and able to work additional hours which may include overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
  • Must be willing to accept accountability and work well in a team.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator).
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work a machine-paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Must pass a physical abilities test with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high sanitation level of assigned area (FPZ's).
  • Willing to work necessary overtime, including seven days a week and holidays if scheduled.
  • Willing to assist wherever necessary plant-wide, including repair and mill repairs.
  • Complete and maintain necessary records (inventories, rail and truck loading and unloading data, and others as required).
  • Maintain high levels of safety and sanitation performance in and around grain elevators and other assigned areas.
  • May be assigned other duties by the supervisor.
  • Sign off on classification procedure when qualified on all aspects of the job.
  • Maintain effective communications within own department and with all other departments (Lab, Office, Warehouse, and Elevator).
  • Act as the final QA protection for Ardent Mills to the customer.
  • Work safely, following all safety procedures, taking all precautions, and using all required safety equipment.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
  • Ensure only approved equipment such as brushes are used.
  • Check all machinery after starting to ensure everything is in proper working order before use.
  • Assist with repair when needed.
  • Assist whenever necessary, including sanitation.
  • Ensure vacuum cleaning system is functioning properly.
  • Assist with other departments and employees as necessary or directed.
  • Carry out all activities with reliability, integrity, compliance, and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.
