About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Department of Health and Human Services, located at 1915 Health Services Way, Raleigh, NC 27607 in Wake County. Temporary employees may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) if they work an average of 30 or more hours per week. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time and must be fully qualified for the job. OSHR supports the Governor's Job Ready initiative to expand temporary skill sets for future employment opportunities.

Requirements

• Education and/or experience in the performance of a variety of manual tasks that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade equivalent to one year of experience.
• Lifting is required.
• Basic knowledge of the application of trade skills to the duties assigned.
• Skill in the use and care of equipment and tools used in performing work assignments.
• Ability to follow oral work assignments.
• Physical strength sufficient to move relatively heavy objects and to work at heavy manual tasks for considerable periods of time.
