About The Position

Under the general supervision of the attending physician and in accordance with department protocols, the General Ultrasound Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves and related imaging techniques. This role is responsible for producing, analyzing, and documenting high-quality images and data to assist physicians in diagnosing a wide range of medical conditions. The technologist ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compassionate patient care in every interaction.

Requirements

Associate Degree; graduate from an accredited two-year Ultrasound Program, required; OR equivalent training acquired via work experience
AMA approved Sonography program; Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) approved school of Ultrasound Technology
Less than one year of previous job-related experience
Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
CPR from American Heart Association
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)- Mininimum of one to two specialties of either Abdomen and/or Obstetrics & Gynecology or PS required.
