About The Position

We are seeking a General Technician - Composite Manufacturing to join our team in Sacramento, CA. This full-time position involves providing technical support for composite manufacturing processes, performing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, ensuring quality assurance, and contributing to process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex machinery.
  • Basic understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical drawings.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational training or technical certifications preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with composite manufacturing processes, including layup, infusion, and filament winding.
  • Provide technical support for production operations.
  • Operate and maintain equipment to ensure smooth workflow and production efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of manufacturing equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment or processes, implementing solutions as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support efficient operations.
  • Conduct inspections of components during and after production to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Document production processes and report any deviations or issues to the supervisor.
  • Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Assist in training new team members on manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Provide feedback on manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
