About The Position

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring an experienced OR Nurse for the Operating Room. This position is full-time with a day shift. As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career with opportunities for growth and advancement in various specialties. The primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overall patient care responsibility. The Operating Room department is a rapidly growing level 3 Trauma Center looking for an experienced circulating nurse to support community needs.

Requirements

Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree
1 year of operating room, circulating, surgery experience required

Responsibilities

Assessing/admitting patients
Rounding checks
Giving medications
Talking with family members
Being responsible for the overall care of your patients
Circulating nurse duties in the Operating Room
