UnityPoint Health St. Lukes has 2 hospital campus locations and home-based care for patients in Sioux City and the surrounding Siouxland area. St. Luke’s offers a full range of services and programs that includes a state-of-the-art surgical center, Siouxland’s premier birth center, 24/7 cardiovascular care, and Level III emergency department. Dedicated support from Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in both the clinic and hospital settings. 24/7 hospitalist program manages adult and pediatric inpatient care, allowing surgeons to focus on surgical services. Fully integrated health system utilizing Epic EMR across clinics and hospitals to enhance care coordination. Experienced clinical and non-clinical staff with strong relationships throughout the community. Full-time position with dedicated administrative time and flexible scheduling to ensure excellent patient access.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
- J-1 waiver sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Balanced mix of trauma, general surgery, and outpatient follow-up care.
- Practice includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
