About The Position
Palmdale Regional Medical Center (PRMC) is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join a private practice in the Palmdale area. This opportunity involves taking General Surgery call and providing surgical services at PRMC. The hospital is a 184-bed facility (planned build-out to 234 beds) located in north L.A. County, serving residents of the Antelope Valley and surrounding communities. PRMC is part of Southwest Healthcare and is owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS). The hospital is recognized for high-quality medical services, including being graded 'A' for patient safety by the Leapfrog Group. PRMC features an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, a 35-bed Emergency Department, and offers a wide range of surgical services such as bariatric, colorectal, orthopedic, neurological, spine, ENT, vascular, plastic, and robotics (da Vinci Xi). It also provides medical and surgical oncology services in affiliation with City of Hope, a wound care center with hyperbaric medicine, and the Rehabilitation Institute.
