About The Position

Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring General Surgeons in Arlington, VA to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. The position involves using the latest advancements in wound healing to change lives in communities, performing surgical debridement and bedside procedures, evaluating and treating chronic wounds, and collaborating in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings.

Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome General Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians.
• No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
