General Surgeon - Corpus Christi, TX
About The Position
National Wound Physician Group is seeking a General Surgeon to provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings such as Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians will conduct weekly wound rounds, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day across 2-3 facilities daily within a 40-60 mile radius. The role involves utilizing a proprietary wound-specific EMR for real-time clinical documentation. The position offers extensive training, including a wound fellowship, to develop expertise in wound management with cutting-edge technologies and modalities. Physicians will experience clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance, with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.
Requirements
- Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
- Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
- Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
- Conduct weekly wound rounds at assigned facilities.
- Visit 2-3 facilities per day.
- Treat approximately 20-30 patients per day.
- Utilize proprietary wound-specific EMR for real-time clinical documentation.
- Participate in a 6-month wound care fellowship.
- Travel within a 40-60 mile radius of the practice location.
