About The Position
General Surgeon Position with National Wound Physician Group offering clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance. This role involves no nights, no call, and no weekend responsibilities. Physicians become experts in wound management, learning from highly qualified trainers and utilizing cutting-edge technologies. The group provides physician-level wound management training and a wound fellowship. W2 physicians earn, on average, $300,000 per year plus benefits for a 30-hour work week, with part-time opportunities available. Paid training is provided during onboarding and for a 6-month wound care fellowship. Physicians deliver modern wound management at the bedside in post-acute care settings like Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals, conducting weekly wound rounds. This is a mobile practice where physicians visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients daily, within a 40-60 mile radius. Clinical documentation is done in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. No work visa sponsorship is available.
Requirements
- Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
- Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice
- Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday

Responsibilities
- Become an expert in wound management
- Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities
- Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care facilities
- Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility
- Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day
- Perform clinical documentation at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using a proprietary wound-specific EMR
