About The Position

Desert Regional Medical Center, a premier Level I Trauma Center and comprehensive regional referral center in the Coachella Valley, is seeking a General Surgeon to join an established and growing surgical practice in beautiful Palm Springs, California. Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Eligible for unrestricted California medical licensure.
• Ability to obtain medical staff privileges at Desert Regional Medical Center.
• Strong clinical and surgical skills with a commitment to high-quality patient care.
• Excellent communication and collaborative team-based practice skills.

Nice To Haves

• Fellowship training preferred.
• New graduates, residents, and fellows are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Practice a broad scope of general surgery.
• Perform a wide variety of general surgery procedures.
• Manage a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Handle an expected patient volume of approximately 30-40 patients per week.
• Anticipate a surgical volume of approximately 10-20 surgeries per week.
• Participate in limited teaching activities with Family Medicine residents.
• Provide coverage for your own established patient panel during call responsibilities.
