We are hiring a General Superintendent at our Casper, WY operation. In this role, you will oversee the operational tasks of our construction projects providing direct support and guidance to the crews. This is a high level operations position working under the direction of the General Manager and alongside the Project management team for the construction of heavy civil public and private construction projects.

Requirements

  • 5 years of supervisory experience for the construction of heavy civil projects.
  • Experience and competency using job cost tracking software (HCSS, JDE, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships, create a team-oriented work environment, maintain confidentiality.
  • Effectively plan work and communicate plan to field supervisors, project managers, agencies, owners, and community.
  • Prioritize deadlines, stay organized and work well in fast-paced environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, state and federal regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work overtime, some nights and weekends as projects require.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with WYDOT rules and regulations a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision for Superintendents and Foremen on various projects around the state.
  • Provide daily coaching to field Foremen and Superintendents.
  • Create and manage project schedules.
  • Track and report daily costs.
  • Review and provide guidance on monthly job costing and WIP.
  • Monitor and communicate project progress, identifying any concerns, delays or issues to senior managers, agencies and project owners.
  • Review daily labor reports and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Manage equipment for appropriate utilization and maintenance.
  • Ensure inventory for projects is available and tracked.
  • Provide direction to field supervisors for employee relations issues.
  • Perform other duties as required.
