About The Position

KO Construction is seeking a General Superintendent to support the successful execution of projects across their growing portfolio. This role involves overseeing field operations, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in alignment with company standards. The Superintendent will work closely with the Director of Construction and Project Managers to provide leadership across job sites, support field teams, and help drive consistency in project execution from conception to closeout. This position is crucial for strengthening operational performance as the organization continues to grow and scale.

Requirements

5–10+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on field operations
Experience as a Superintendent or in a similar field leadership role
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
Ability to manage multiple projects or sites simultaneously
Strong communication and organizational skills
Leadership and accountability
Strong field presence and decision-making
Effective communication and coordination
Problem-solving and adaptability
Attention to detail and quality

Proficiency with construction management software is preferred

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple job sites
Coordinate and manage site supervisors and subcontractors
Ensure projects are executed in accordance with plans, schedules, and quality expectations
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and performance
Proactively identify and resolve field issues
Support development and maintenance of project schedules
Coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure efficient workflow
Monitor progress and communicate updates to project teams and leadership
Assist in identifying risks to schedule and recommend corrective actions
Enforce job site safety standards and compliance requirements
Promote a culture of safety across all projects
Ensure work meets company quality standards and project specifications
Address deficiencies and ensure timely resolution
Work closely with Project Managers to align on project execution
Support communication between field and office teams
Assist in onboarding and guiding site supervisors
Provide feedback to improve performance and consistency across teams
Support implementation of company processes and project standards
Assist in driving consistency across projects and teams
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within construction operations
Support adoption of construction management tools and systems (e.g., Procore)
