Position Overview The General Superintendent provides leadership and oversight of field operations across multiple projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. This role provides direction and accountability to Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews while partnering with Project Management and leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in underground utility construction and field leadership.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects, crews, or Superintendents.
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, schedules, and contracts.
  • Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and construction safety practices.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to project success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Superintendents, Foremen, crews, and field operations across multiple projects.
  • Monitor schedules, manpower, equipment, materials, production, and project progress.
  • Partner with Project Managers to manage budgets, schedules, and overall project performance.
  • Review look-ahead schedules and proactively address delays, conflicts, and resource needs.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and materials across projects.
  • Hold field leadership accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and Moss safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong relationships with General Contractors, Inspectors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Review plans and specifications to ensure proper project execution.
  • Support recruiting, hiring, training, and development of field personnel.
  • Ensure project documentation, timekeeping, BaseCamp updates, and equipment inspections are completed accurately and on time.
  • Communicate project updates, challenges, and operational needs to leadership.
